Campus Safety

Our project is designed to make safety features provided by IU more accessible and easier to find for students. Safety resources will be in one central location on the already existing IU mobile app. Our goal is to allow students to have easier access to safety tools in order to improve safety around campus.

Our Project

Our research found that many IU students were either unaware of the safety tools IU provides or are aware of them but don't know where to access them. Safety around campus is extremely important, and we felt there was a need to make the resources more accessible for students to improve safety around campus.

Campus safety is an addition to the already existing IU mobile app that many students are currently using. This addition centralizes the safety tools provided by IU, such as anonymous reports, police reports, COVID-19 information and many other resources.

Through user testing and the feedback we received, we were able to design a final high fidelity prototype where we improved usability and the overall design and content of our first couple prototypes.
