Our Project
Our goal of IU dining is to provide users with an efficient and easy to use mobile app. From the observations and interviews we conducted, we found that many students weren't satisfied with the current IU dining experience. The biggest issues students reported were long wait times averaging an hour, lack of variety for students with food restrictions, and no method for students to find hours of operation and explore new locations.
We addressed these issues in our app by adding locations for all campus eateries and food trucks so that students have a variety of options to choose from. Filters and account preferences in our app allow users to refine their results based on the user's food restrictions, preferred distance, wait time, and rating. By showing students the wait time at each eatery, they are able to reduce their time spent looking for food on campus because they are able to factor the wait time into their schedule.
Big Points
- Improved students dining hall experience

- Provides locations of food trucks in real time
- Informs students about each location (menus, ratings, etc.)
