Our Project
Our main goal is to find out a unique way to motivate students to go to be more active. As we were doing research, we figure out that a lot of students were too busy to go to the gym consistently. Another reason we got was there were too many people at the gym or not enough equipment to go around. Our solution was to design an application that tracks how many people are at the gym. It would be useful to see how many people are there because if there are too many people there. It could become a reason why you don't go, especially because of the fear of covid. As we were designing and testing our prototype, we realized that we could add more features. Our first feature was to add sensory in each room to get the capacity of each room. We also added a crowded meter to determine if that area is really crowded or not. We also added a forum section to allow students to connect with each other more through the application. The last feature we added was a time-designed meter so students can see what times are the most people coming at. All of these features we added are important and it allows all students to see the data of how many people are going in and out of the gym.
LinkBig Points
- Give students data regarding each workout room on campus.
- Motivate students to go to the gym and get active.
- Promote students to connect with each other.
