Our Project
The aim of our project was to help the elderly adopt technologies that could increase their quality of life.
We found through both primary and secondary research that elderly people have a variety of issues using technology. Problems such as dealing with too much information, lack of support, busy user interfaces, and age related cognitive decline negatively affect their experience.
We designed an application that aids elderly individuals in learning how to navigate websites.
We presented each step of our process and incorporated feedback we received into our design.
During evaluations we found that some of the features on our website that were meant to make navigation easier for people were making it harder. As a result of this we updated our prototype to support user understanding and navigation.
