Our Project

Our project aim is to help students find friends and events in there area, since most students struggle with this if they come to campus with no friends. This can also benefit people that are just bored looking to go to a party or chill session in there area as well. In research, we found that COVID has directly caused an insane spike of social anxiety in students all over the world, including at IU. We also learned that students have trouble socializing and making friends now more than ever before. While designing our application, we learned that students will only use it if other students are and if it will benefit them as well. We designed a simple application that any student can use and be familiar with. In evaluations, we took our critiques and what everyone liked about our application to iterate effectively: adding and changing as much as we could for critiques and as little as we could for what they liked. Over the session of the project we learned that students thought this idea was very exciting so we learned that when you make an application similar to other popular applications the users can easily navigate it and actually focus on the benefits of the app.
