Our Project
Unify started with the idea of wanting to create a platform that made finding volunteer work easier for college students. Through our research and the interviews performed with college students, we quickly noticed that there is information about the different possibilities of volunteering. Additionally, we discovered that many people decide to not volunteer due to a lack of time and interest. However, volunteering information was spread out on many platforms creating unneeded stress for individuals interested in volunteering.
With Unify, we wanted to eliminate the stress of trying to find volunteer opportunities that matched their interests and schedule. Our app has different features that allow users to schedule and donate to the organizations they prefer. Overall our primary goal is to make helping the community a stress-free experience.
Big Points
- Allow users to choose volunteer opportunities that match their needs to encourage more people to volunteer.
- Allow users to donate to the organization of their choosing if they cannot volunteer or prefer to do so.
- Eliminate any stress for individuals when it comes to researching and scheduling volunteer work.
