Our Project
As college students, we know how crowded and inconvenient gyms can be. In a search for a way to improve this problem, we first observed and interviewed gyms and people to fully access the problem, as well as looked online to see if similar problems existed elsewhere. We then developed various sketches and prototypes of different concepts we believed could solve the problem. We ended up landing on the idea of an app that informs the user of the most and least popular times at a gym and any specific equipment they select. We then developed both low and medium-fidelity prototypes in the website Figma to get an idea of how our app would look and work. We then went through a couple of iterative processes in order to make sure it worked logically to users going through it. We also made a poster that outlines examples of why somebody would want and need this app and what we as a group are looking to solve. Directly below is the link the Figma prototype.
LinkBig Points
- Tasks the Figma Prototype can achieve:
- You are logging into the app for the first time. You would like to sign up in the app to have your personal details in the app. You then login to the app once it is set up.
- You would like to input your approximate location in order to see available gym options around you.
- You would like to make your gym selection and observe the data available about it once you have done so.
- You would like to observe the information on the specific machines at the gym you have chosen earlier.
