Our Project
In our research we discovered that many people use their smart watches to check their notifications and not exactly to reply. We also discovered that many smart watch users experience difficulties with quick replies and often deem it inefficient to respond using their watch. We decided to design an app for a smartwatch that allows users to quickly update their mood and share with their friends. This app also allows users to check in on their friends and see how they are doing. We decided to build this app because it is important to stay connected to your friends and we wanted to create a quick and easy way to do so. In our evaluations we gave users tasks to complete and observed their thought process and how they went about completing these tasks. Through this we found that some of the icons were not easily understandable and the color descriptions were confusing to find. We took this into consideration and iterated on our prototype to make it clear and easy to function and figure out.
