Arts at IU

Our Project

The Arts@IU project is a comprehensive IU exclusive environment for IU students to upload and view video content, meet new friends, and showcase their artistic talents to the IU community. The purpose of this project was to provide an online environment for students to continue practicing and sharing their artistic abilities during the pandemic.

By using the Arts@IU website, IU students and faculty will be able to easily share their talents with the IU community through uploading videos. If a user would like to upload videos in bulk and have them go live on the website at later dates, they can take advantage of the content scheduling feature. The website provides multiple ways to find content through the site home page, user profile pages, and the display videos pages. To help foster a thriving online IU Arts community, users can connect with each other seamlessly through use of the profile, commenting, video liking, following, and messaging features. To help deliver a personalized experience to keep users coming back, the home page of the site showcases a featured video tailored to the category of videos that the user like the most.

Although the end of the COVID 19 pandemic seems to be in sight, this website will prove useful for the IU community going forward to provide a safe environment to share talents and find friends within the community.
