Our Project
Our project primarily functions on a screen which features a map in which you can see nearby chargers around you and plot routes to them. Your decisions will be effected by their scores, which are color coded, to indicate how clean their energy composition is. Some chargers may be all clean, all fossil fuel, or a mix of both. We put the choice in your hands by offering in depth comparisons between chargers to the user. Based upon primary research this will cause users to use greener energy overall. Our car comparison tool features in tax deductions and gas/electricity costs into its price formula which will inform consumers to the real cost of their vehicles. It also has an overall comparison with other features such as number of seats or other general comforts which it will use to create an overall comfort score formula to compare the cars.
LinkBig Points
- Our app is designed in a way that non-EV owners will download it for its comparison tool when looking to purchase a vehicle, and then will keep the app after their purchase. Current EV owners will also download the app in order to see how their areas chargers look so they can be as climate friendly as possible. Due to this we have a wide user audience along with a user funnel from non-EV owner to when they end up buying EVs. This app will be on all phone platforms and even a version for windows and Mac could be made.
