Work Warriors: Future of Work

Working as a team we collectively are working on a project regarding the future of work. Our design aimed at preventing AI from taking over the workforce allowing for the continuation of meaningful employment being of utmost importance. Creating an app to teach AI basics and share recent news is crucial. It boosts AI literacy, ethical AI use, critical thinking, and informed decisions. Staying updated in the fast-evolving AI world is valuable for professionals and students. The app can also promote diversity, inclusivity, and ethical awareness. It helps individuals and organizations gain a competitive edge and build trust.

Our Project

In today's digital age, it is paramount that students not only understand fundamental concepts related to news but also gain insights into the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI). To address this educational need, we have developed a dedicated app that serves as a comprehensive learning platform, designed to empower students and educators alike.

Our journey began by conducting interviews with a diverse group of 12 individuals to gauge the ethical implications of integrating AI into the educational experience. The overwhelming consensus from these discussions was in favor of utilizing AI as an educational tool. This insight served as the foundation for our project. During the development process, we meticulously refined our app through a series of iterations. We transitioned from paper sketches to digital prototypes, ensuring that the platform would be both user-friendly and effective.

The heart of our app is a dynamic learning experience that revolves around practice and mastery. Students have the opportunity to engage with content videos that deliver insightful explanations and demonstrations on various topics related to news and AI. These videos are meticulously crafted to ensure that the information is both accessible and engaging. Complementing the content videos are quizzes that offer students the chance to apply what they've learned and assess their comprehension. Our app utilizes AI algorithms to grade these quizzes instantly, providing feedback on correctness and offering targeted tutoring when students encounter difficulties. This intelligent assessment system fosters a deeper understanding of the material.

Our overarching goal is to ensure that students not only grasp the principles of news and AI but also retain this knowledge for the long term. We aim to equip them with the ability to recall and apply what they have learned, fostering informed and knowledgeable individuals who are prepared for the challenges of the future.
