Our project, RedNews, is designed to tackle the pervasive issues of misinformation and polarization prevalent on social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and web browsers. The spread of fake news has become a significant concern, leading to misunderstandings, division, and even societal discord. RedNews offers a solution by identifying fake news articles and posts, providing users with credible sources to verify information, and explaining why certain content is misleading or false. Our Project

RedNews is an innovative solution designed to address the rampant spread of misinformation and polarization in today's digital age. Built as a mobile application, RedNews is tailored to combat fake news across popular social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and various web browsers. The app's primary goal is to empower users with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate through the sea of information online accurately and confidently.

One of the standout features of RedNews is its sophisticated detection system, implemented through an intuitive overlay within the app. This overlay actively scans and identifies potentially fake news content encountered by users. Upon detection, users can simply click on an icon within the overlay to access a comprehensive explanation detailing why the content is considered fake. This feature not only educates users about the pitfalls of misinformation but also guides them towards critical thinking and fact-checking practices.

Furthermore, RedNews goes beyond mere identification by seamlessly connecting users to credible sources of information. By leveraging partnerships with trusted news outlets and fact-checking organizations, RedNews ensures that users can verify the authenticity of news stories and articles with ease. This integration of reliable resources adds an extra layer of assurance, promoting a more informed and discerning online community.

In essence, RedNews is not just an app; it's a catalyst for change in how we consume and interact with information online. By equipping users with the means to distinguish fact from fiction and encouraging a culture of critical engagement, RedNews aims to foster a digital landscape built on transparency, integrity, and reliable information.
