Our Project
Our fact-checking app works to combat misinformation on social media and news outlets by providing the users with instant, credible information about the validity of posts and articles. By using a network of trusted information sources, our design product could potentially quickly verify claims, flag false information, and give users insight into the content they are consuming. It would seek to empower the users to evaluate content critically and be able to contribute to healthier online discourse. This would allow them to promote trust, accuracy, and accountability within social media and other news platforms.
