Our Project
We created an app that will help IU students find both housing and roommates on one platform. The combination of a housing search and a built-in messaging system to find roommates simplifies the process of finding housing off-campus. You are able to create a profile that includes your personal housing and roommate preferences to allow you to search for housing and read through other students profiles to find potential roommates.
LinkBig Points
- We believe that our system will decrease the number of students living alone off campus.
- We believe IU Housing Connect can bring students with individuals of similar interests together.
- IU Housing Connect would be available on mobile devices through an app, and online accessible through a website.
- Our housing tool is developed for students at IU's Bloomington campus. Expanding to other campuses at IU is a goal of ours.
- At this school, 32% of the students live in college-owned, -operated or -affiliated housing and 68% of students live off campus.
