Our Project
Procrastination Wake-Up Call is an app designed to reduce procrastination and stress for students by integrating scheduling and screen time monitoring functions. Our research showed that while all participants believed they spent too much time on their phones, and wanted to find ways to reduce their time overall screen time, the wants and needs of each participant to make that happen varied greatly. As a response, our concept allows users to customize and personalize their screen time and scheduling experience, by deciding how they will be notified of usage limits and urgent tasks, but also blocked from, or able to return to their applications. Additionally, the project allows users to to manage and log their upcoming tasks, creating custom rules for how each type of task, be it, work, homework, chores, or even hobbies, interact with your screen time controls. Finally, users will be able to log how long each of their tasks take, so as they use the application, it will learn from your behavior and habits to give more effective and accurate notifications to help the user manage their time more effectively, reducing stress and increasing productivity.
