Navigating Purpose

With constant pressure to choose a career path, balance personal aspirations, and set meaningful goals, many college students struggle to find a sense of purpose and direction in their academic and professional lives. This leads to uncertainty and decreased motivation.

Our Project

Navigating academic, career, and personal aspirations can be overwhelming for college students, often leading to uncertainty, lack of direction, and decreased motivation. Our project addresses this challenge by developing an app specifically designed to help students align their goals, experiences, and opportunities in a clear, structured, and empowering way.

Using insights gathered from our Affinity Diagram and Miro Board, we identified several key struggles students face: career uncertainty, difficulties with job applications and networking, challenges in setting and maintaining goals, and tension between pursuing passions versus practical career paths. Our user personas confirmed these findings and highlighted an important need: students often struggle to connect their diverse skills and experiences meaningfully and to network with confidence.

To address these needs, our app focuses on three core features:

Skill and Experience Mapping, Peer Networking Support, and Opportunity Visualization.

Through these features, we aim to create a supportive, visually engaging platform that motivates students to pursue meaningful opportunities and empowers them to confidently take the next steps in their personal and professional journeys.
